hello

hello, in today's post I introduce to you the great monuments of Polish artists in Mlawa. The first picture shows a marshal Jozef Piłsudski who was a Polish social activist for independence, a soldier and a politician. The second picture shows the Pope Jan Pawel II. He was one of the most respected world leaders in the history as he visited 129 countries during his 27 years-long pontificate. The last photo shows Stanislaw Wyspianski’s monument – a Polish playwright, poet, painter and printmaker./Iza

Mound

Hi,

I've just got back from a walk.
I was in the part of Mława called 'Wólka'.
Opposite the church there is Tadeusz Kościuszko's monument.
On the face of it , there’s nothing special: a lot of ground, memorial plaque and hatchets on top.
I walked over and read the words on the board.
It's not only 'mound', but there are pieces of ground from battle places where Tadeusz Kościuszko fought!
Like battle place of Saratoga, and Insurgent Fields (19.09-17.10.1777).
Mława citizens founded it in 1917.
A priest Ignacy Krajewski had an idea to build it to honour Tadeusz Kościuszko on his 100th death anniversary.
The Mound was reconstructed after II World War, but scarcely in 1984.
Few years ago the monument was renovated, It looks good.
Some ground inside, a memorial plaque, 2 hatchets and 3 scythes remains the same.

Daria .

A place where you can go for a picnic

Hello!
I want to show you a place, where it`s worth to go for a picnic. It will be a urban park in Mlawa. It is a really interesing place. The whole park is green, there are a lot of flowers, bushes and trees. We can also see a fountain. I think, it will be good for people who like riding on rollers or skateboard because there is skatepark, too. I will go there for a picnic because I like this place.

A Zone Of Secrets

A place where you can have fun in Mława is A Zone of Secrets - one of the newest and most interesting places in Mława. There is a room you have to escape within 60 minutes. This kind of game has its roots in the world of virtual games. It started in 1990 when the secret rooms were created virtually as computer games. As time evolved to its present form writers and animators are preparing secrets in those special rooms and it can intrigue, amuse and scare. A Zone of Secrets combines a passion for solving mysteries with the latest technology! The rooms are filled with many items, codes and hidden clues. All of this can help the team to escape. This game is designed for groups of 2 to 5 people. It is important to organize memory and ingenuity worthy of Einstein. There is a closed ghost that may give you a clue! This game is the perfect way of spending free time for friends, businesses, schools and families. If you want to take up the challenge in the Zone of Secrets, book a room at the appropriate time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-OjgL35eoI - Natalie Sz.

A short story about St.Wojciech's Fair.

„What is St.Wojciech's Fair?” you may ask. Well, St.Wojciech's Fair (in other words "Crafts and Handicrafts Fair") lasts for 2 days in a year (2nd weekend of July), in which all the craftsmen from Mława and the surronding area sell theirs products, for example: homemade bread, paintings, jewellery and others. It's always great fun because you can see a lot of different things and of course buy them. Moreover, it's summer time, so you can take your friends and spend the time really nicely.
All the love, Julia.

My Winter Holidays

In the second week of my winter holidays I was in Szklarska Poręba with my parents. We arrived on Monday and came back home on Friday evening. We stayed in a nice hotel with beautiful views. We were having a lot of long walks to the mountains. We also saw a few monuments there. We visited a Castle of Książ and it was amazing! Next to the castle there is a Palm House, so we saw it too. We also tried some regional food and it was kind of good. The weather during out winter holidays was very good, so we spent most of our time outside. I spent this time very well and I think one day I'll come back to that place.
